How We Help

Red Dirt Relief Fund provides crisis relief, preventive care resources and need-based financial assistance in three key areas:

  • Health Services focus on emergency financial assistance for medical expenses and loss of work due to illness or injury. RDRF also offers services through partnerships with dental/vision/hearing health providers,  health insurance enrollment and more.
  • Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Services include preventive resources such as mental health referrals and financial assistance for counseling/therapy,  inpatient addiction recovery and mental health treatment.
  • Human Services include humanitarian disaster relief, assistance with instrument replacement/repair if stolen or damaged in a natural disaster (excluding wear-and-tear), and funeral costs for a music professional or their family member.
If you or someone you care about is in an emergency, please call 911 or text the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.

According to the Hearing Health Foundation, professional musicians are nearly four times as likely to develop noise-induced hearing loss as the general public. They are also more likely to experience tinnitus (ringing in the ears). These conditions affect everyone working in music equally, on stage and off.

Soundcheck is a program offered by Red Dirt Relief Fund to provide Etymonic ER-20xs high-fidelity earplugs developed for musicians to any person who qualifies for our grant programs. The goal is to distribute 500 pairs in the next year backstage at festivals around Oklahoma and directly to music professionals who request them. Please contact us at reddirtrelieffund@gmail.com to request a pair.
