A founding member of Red Dirt Relief Fund, Katie has worked over the past decade to raise funds, build community and administer grants to Oklahoma music industry professionals while they get back to work after medical emergencies, natural disasters and other unforeseen crises.
She was honored with the Compassionate Tulsan Award in 2022, but travels the state producing music festivals and events that benefit RDRF including Bob Childers’ Gypsy Café in Stillwater and Tom Skinner’s Skyline Music Fest in Tulsa. Her passion for music was fueled in New Orleans while attending Loyola University, and later producing music events for Red Bull Energy Drink across Oklahoma, West Texas and New Mexico.
“I have been a part of the Red Dirt Relief Fund from the beginning because I love music and the people who make it! They work tirelessly to bring their art into our lives, often without the support or benefits that come with more traditional careers. I want to be an advocate and resource for our music community so they know how much we appreciate and value them.”
